10% off wedding services

I know most of us are struggling in this economy. So if you're one of them you can use this post as a 10% off coupon on any wedding package. Just email me at brian@fmkphoto.com to inquire!

Some new stuff

Just wanted to share some new stuff with you...
This is Downtown Los Angeles via 110 freeway.

I didn't anticipate this shot of a Great Egret turning out but I'm pretty pleased with the final version.

This American Kestrel was nice enough to pose for me ;o)
Patience pays off - here's proof. By sitting still long enough I got to see this Snowy Egret catch a few fish.

And here's a teaser from my trip last weekend to San Francisco. This is sunset over the Marin Headlands.

Death Valley/God's Country

I dragged my fiancee to the hottest and driest place in the country...Death Valley National Park. I had a little trouble convincing her it was really God's country but after seeing all these spots she came around ;o)...

This is Badwater - 282 feet below sea level (the lowest point in North America). All that white stuff is salt - they call it the Salt Pan. Obviously Badwater gets its name from the salty water that is undrinkable.

Many Sand Dunes are found in Death Valley.

Notice the lonely hiker in this one...

This is called The Racetrack. These large rocks are theorized to be pushed on ice and mud by high winds.

The 27 mile dirt road to get here keeps it very secluded.

Death Valley is a great place to do astrophotography.
This one has the setting moon shining down on a 20 team mule train that used to haul Borax out of mines in the 1880's.
