Huntington Beach Pier Sunburst
I love clearing storms! We had some light rain on and off all morning. I kept looking out the window in the afternoon as the patches of blue sky poked through. Most times when the sky looks good in the afternoon like it did yesterday it usually ends up clearing by sunset time and it's not very dramatic but I took a chance anyways and I'm glad I did.
The light show on the clouds behind me was much more dramatic with the rich colored clouds against a dark and ominous sky but the pier is what I wanted to shoot. I took several shots but when the sun poked through the clouds right as it sank below the pier the scene changed dramatically - and this is what I got.
