Eric and Cari

I braved the 100 degree weather yesterday and shot Eric and Cari's wedding at the Sepulveda Home in San Pedro. I had a blast! They were such a fun couple to work with. Congratulations you two! I'll have some images up here in the next few weeks.

Anyways

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway. - Kent Keith

Lynn and Jack

I had the privilege to shoot Lynn and Jack's wedding last weekend with Prince Weddings . What a great, laid back couple! Even though most of it was in Vietnamese it was a lot of fun. Here's a few images...
What a cool church

The guys had a little fun for the cameras

Love the veil in the wind!

Lynn won her own center piece!

The first dance

These two were all over the dance floor.

Have you ever seen guys this excited for the garter toss?!

Quote of the day

Some of your hurts you have cured,
And the sharpest you've even survived,
But what torments of grief you've endured,
From evils which never arrived.--Ralph Waldo Emerson

Next time you find yourself worrying about something ask yourself what you benefit from it? Be in the now.

US Open of Surfing

I found the time in a busy weekend to venture down to the Huntington Beach Pier...well me and 500,000 others. Ok I don't know how many people were there but I heard that number being tossed around. I try to shoot this surfing competition every year. And every year I find out that my 100-400L lens is just not long enough. Ugh... But I managed to to get some images that I think are worth keeping. Here's a few.

The surf was actually huge for a nice change. Usually Huntington is flat. This weekend we were seeing waves as big as 10-12 feet.

Here is one of those monster waves being braved by the one and only Kelly Slater.

A Kelly Slater wipeout.

These next ones are of Brett Simpson who ended up winning the $100,000 fronted by Hurley.
