Dwight & Kim

I had the privilege of shooting Kim and Dwights wedding a couple weeks ago. I used to work with them back in the day when I used to drive an ambulance around L.A. It was a fun little backyard wedding in Norco. Hope you enjoy them, I did...

Mom with her last minute touch ups.

The best man showing Dwight how to dress himself ;o)

Kim was a crack up dancing before the ceremony.

Father(s) and the bride

This was great - Kim's stepdad with the rifle behind them.

Everyone now...Awwwwww

The center pieces were goldfish!

I thought these were cool.

At last, my love has come along
My lonely days are over
And life is like a song...

Kim with her dad.

And Dwight with his mom.

A cupcake cake!

And yes it got messy...

Grandpa cut in on the dollar dance...not with Kim but with Dwight! I love the Maid of Honor's reaction.

What was going on there haha.

Tearin up the dance floor.

Kim and her Maid of Honor having a laugh. Hopefully it was at one of my jokes...

They had a good live band.

Isn't there always someone who tries to steal the show? Here she is!

I love the ring shots of course...

Kim and mom.

They make such a great couple. Congratulations!

The President of the United States

I got to watch President Obama land at the Orange County Fairgrounds yesterday for his town hall meeting. Here's some shots:

Of course they had all the streets around the fairgrounds close so traffic was a pain...

These things were huge!

After the Marines landed, Obama came in from a different direction.

And after less than two hours on the ground he was gone...

It was an interesting experience. Swat Teams on the roof tops, people selling t-shirts in the street, people with pro and anti Obama signs, megaphones, and just a bunch of nosey people like me...

Why I shouldn't delete images just to delete them...

Note to self: Don't delete old images if you have them displayed on the web somewhere!

So I got an email from an editor of Complex Magazine and she wanted to use one of my images of the Long Beach skyline for an article in the June/July issue. So when I started to look for the image in my giant library of images I couldn't find it. So it turns out that a couple of weeks ago I was clearing out my hard drive space and trashing all the old worthless pictures I kept I trashed that one too. Apparently I didn't think very highly of it but a magazine editor did...DOH!

So now I have to drive out there to reshoot it (even though I secretly want to because I have a much better camera now) at midnight because she has a deadline in a couple days. Well, work is work eh? Gotta take what I can get.

Anyways so the moral of the story: keep a back up somewhere just in case someone likes something I don't...

Here's the image:

Brain Tumor

My dad had a brain tumor removed two days ago. It seems like everything went well and he's doing pretty good. Some pain, weakness and numbness but he's progressing. We all had a little scare of course though. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Don't take life for granted. Or in the words of Theodore Roosevelt "Seize the moment".
